Nuclear Operations Training Expertise
The Senior Reactor Operator Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality training to personnel involved in nuclear operations. This role involves analyzing, designing, developing, and evaluating plant-specific training programs aimed at improving station and personnel performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering performance-based licensed or non-licensed training programs in accordance with Constellation's TSD model and department procedures.
- Maintaining current training programs by incorporating information from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, Constellation NERs, NRC Circulars, Bulletins, and Information Notices, plant design change and backfit information, and plant procedure changes and revisions.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and recommending individualized training plans as needed.
- Supporting business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, EP duties, and special projects as required.
- Participating in NRC, INPO, and management audits, and preparing responses to audit findings.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications for this role include:
- Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering or Education/Training.
- Previous or current senior reactor operator license.
- An SRO Certification with 6 years of related industry experience and 6 months of proven teaching in LORT or ILT.
