Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing Radiation Protection Technicians in implementing decontamination, instrumentation, planning and scheduling, procedures, training, radiation exposure control, and rad waste programs in support of Operation and Maintenance activities in the plant.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and state requirements
- Interfaces with Plant Staff and regulators on matters related to implementation of the Radiation Protection program
- Directly supervising Laborers/RPTs who perform routine plant cleaning and plant, equipment and tool decontamination
- Managing the performance of the station in the areas of plant contaminated square footage and personnel contamination events
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in radiation protection at a nuclear reactor facility
- Successful completion of core supervisory/management training and development programs
- Basic computer skills
- An Associates or Bachelor's degree in Health Physics or related discipline
