Job Overview
A Technical Training Specialist is needed to design, develop, implement, and evaluate plant-specific nuclear licensed operations training programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive subject matter knowledge and the ability to carry out assignments associated with analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed modification of these programs.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will drive station and personnel performance improvement through the use of training, coordinating and conducting performance-based licensed or non-licensed training programs as required by the user community. They will ensure that training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, Constellation NERs, NRC Circulars, Bulletins, and Information Notices, plant design change and backfit information, plant procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must have 6 years of related industry experience/technical background, or an associate's degree in science/engineering or education/training with 4 years of related industry experience/technical background. A bachelor's degree in education/training with 2 years' teaching experience is also acceptable. Senior reactor operator license or previous RO experience with 4 years of related industry experience (must achieve SRO certification within 18 months) is required for the Sr Ops Training Instructor position.
