2nd Vice President, Annuity Product Management, Expanding Markets

The 2nd Vice President, Annuity Product Management, Expanding Markets will spearhead the ideation, design, and expansion of competitive registered products, including Registered Linked Index Annuities (RILA), for AuguStar Retirement. This role is pivotal in ensuring that these products align with our pricing initiatives and overall business objectives.

Your role and impact

Here's a glimpse of your responsibilities and the meaningful impact you'll create as the 2nd Vice President, Annuity Product Management, Expanding Markets:

• Leading the development and execution of an expanding markets product strategy with a focus on registered products; including Registered Linked Index Annuities (RILA)
• Partnering with executives to craft products that align with organization goals and long-term strategy, drive alignment on overall product roadmap and priorities
• Collaborating with the pricing team in the development of annuity product pricing assumptions
• Leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams/projects to design and deliver competitive retail offerings
• Staying up to date on industry trends and regulations that impact annuity product development and management
• Providing information to distribution and internal customers on how products compete with top sellers in the industry
• Finding ways to provide innovative features and products that are not necessarily annuities
• Collaborating with marketing in the development of marketing strategies and campaigns to promote annuity products to target customers
• Partnering with execution teams to ensure organizational readiness for the launch of new product lines.
• Working with Strategic Relationships to establish and maintain strong relationships with key distribution partners, ensuring that annuity products are effectively promoted and sold through these channels
• Reviewing marketing material and policy forms for product accuracy
• Creating and update product specifications
• Monitoring and analyzing annuity product performance and make recommendations for improvements and enhancements

What Sets You Up For Success

• A bachelor's degree in economics, business, finance, or related field; MBA preferred
• At least seven years of experience in annuity product design across MYGA, FIA, VA, and/or RILA
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the annuity market and competitive landscape
• Strong leadership and management skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Proven success leading and driving innovative product development and management
• Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both internal and external stakeholders, including senior management
• Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
