- Expected salary range of $182,700 to $203,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
- PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
- POSITION SCOPE
- Manages relationships and matters with internal clients and outside counsel.
- Demonstrates superior legal judgment in the business context.
- Demonstrates innovation; generates new ideas and devises original and successful solutions, programs or actions.
- PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Handle and supervise project development, project finance, plant operations and other generation related legal assignments; evaluate both legal and business risks and advise clients accordingly with minimal supervision.
- Review and draft commercial contracts and advise clients accordingly.
- Work closely with and advise clients on business operations, emergent industry opportunities and developments, and other generation related matters.
- Projects / duties as assigned.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and eligible to practice law as in-house counsel in the relevant jurisdictions.
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience drafting contracts.
- Excellent legal analytical and drafting abilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; to analyze legal materials and other data; to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines; and to provide realistic risk assessments and practical advice to clients.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Exposure to project development, project finance, plant operations and other generation matters.
- Law firm experience.
- Experience and knowledge of the energy industry and in particular independent power producers.
