Primary Purpose Of Position
A mid-level attorney handling supply chain/procurement and related legal matters and projects.
POSITION SCOPE
- Manages relationships and matters with internal clients and outside counsel.
- Demonstrates superior legal judgment in the business context.
- Demonstrates innovation; generates new ideas and devises original and successful solutions, programs or actions.
- Handle and supervise supply chain/procurement and related legal assignments; evaluate both legal and business risks and advise clients accordingly with minimal supervision.
- Review and draft procurement documents including terms and conditions, purchase orders and other contracts and advise clients accordingly.
- Work closely with and advise clients with respect to supply chain/procurement and related matters.
- Projects / duties as assigned.
- An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and eligible to practice law as in-house counsel in the relevant jurisdictions.
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience drafting contracts.
- Excellent legal analytical and drafting abilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; to analyze legal materials and other data; to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines; and to provide realistic risk assessments and practical advice to clients.
- Exposure to supply chain/procurement processes and procedures.
- Law firm experience.
- Experience and knowledge of the energy industry (and in particular nuclear power).
- Experience negotiating IT and software contracts, or industrial services contracts.
