The Role at a glance:
Within the stunning New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, NY, Constellation Culinary Group is an exciting dining destination, bringing guests seasonal events like the Holiday Train Show, Train Tour, and Orchid Show. We pride ourselves on creating an exceptional experience for guests, with high standards of service, quality, and cleanliness.
Compensation is $18-$22 an hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize cafe and storage spaces, maintaining an inviting presentation for high guest satisfaction.
- Handle products and stock, with commitment to all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and sanitation practices.
- Provide support to the team with the organization and storage of event supplies, equipment, and furnishings.
- Assist with customer orders, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar support role within a cafe, restaurant, or events setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including food service equipment and storage areas.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and an efficient work environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks as required.
