We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mortgage Loan Analyst to join our dynamic Mortgage Department. This analytical role is key to supporting the growth and success of our mortgage portfolio. The Analyst will be responsible for preparing and negotiating mortgage loan applications, conducting underwriting analysis, compiling internal loan presentations for senior management, and supporting production efforts in emerging markets. As part of a high-performing team, you'll play a vital role in expanding Constellation's footprint in underrepresented areas and contribute to our continued success in the real estate finance industry.
Your role and impact
Here's a glimpse of your responsibilities and the meaningful impact you'll create as the Mortgage Loan Analyst:
- Evaluating new mortgage loan opportunities: Collect and analyze loan presentation materials, conduct in-depth underwriting analysis, and create internal loan summaries that support executive-level decision-making.
- Preparing and negotiating mortgage applications: Collaborate with correspondents and internal stakeholders to prepare and negotiate mortgage deals aligned with Constellation's investment strategy.
- Supporting market expansion efforts: Assist Production Officers in identifying opportunities in untapped markets and refinance opportunities within our existing loan portfolio.
- Financial analysis and reporting: Review and input annual borrower financial statements, and help prepare key reports such as REO updates, regular performance metrics, and presentations for senior leadership and the Board.
- Driving operational excellence: Help streamline processes, maintain data accuracy, and ensure timely and precise loan documentation.
