Job Description:
This Nuclear Power Plant Technical Specialist role is responsible for advanced technical problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations, making technical decisions, and providing expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering activities and programs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in functional discipline, practical application, industry codes, and regulations, with excellent knowledge in technical areas and experience working in commercial nuclear power plants.
Salary Range:
The estimated salary range for this position is $73,000 - $142,000 per year, depending on level (Entry-level, Mid-level, or Senior level), based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering activities and programs.
- Provides technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
- Performs initial or complete task management of engineering issues.
- Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
- Performs independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
- Recommends equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
