Primary Purpose Of Position
Constellation is seeking a candidate for an Originator position who will be working in the Origination Group developing and managing a wholesale power marketing portfolio with a variable operating margin of approximately $9 Billion. This role will be responsible for developing and executing structured wholesale power contracts and associated commodity contracts. Key activities would include development and execution of complex structured power transactions, hedging portfolio risk, identification and execution of proprietary and arbitrage transactions, support of asset acquisitions and development, and driving evolution of North American market structures. The successful candidates will have experience in PJM, ERCOT, SPP and/or MISO, have the ability for significant overnight travel and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Primary Duties And Accountabilities
- Develop transactional opportunities in accordance with the company's strategies and manage relationships with existing and potential customers and counterparties
- Negotiate all financial and operational terms of structured transactions
- Develop, analyze and negotiate opportunities including complex and innovative physical and financial structures supporting negotiations for GenCo and Corporate acquisitions and development activities as related to the wholesale portfolio
- Develop and implement strategies for driving power marketplace structures and regulations
- Develop and implement transmission strategies related to structured transactions
- Undergraduate degree required with preferred concentration in technical or business-related area or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years of transactional experience
- Self-motivated to achieve success in a rapidly evolving environment
- Demonstrates knowledge of significant aspects of the wholesale electricity business especially in trading/transactions
- Wholesale transactional experience including wholesale customer interaction and negotiation
- Strong analytical skills
- Transactional experience in either an RTO or control area
- Knowledge of North American regional market infrastructure
- Demonstrates strong capabilities in: negotiating complex terms of structured wholesale transactions and acquisitions, financial analysis of structured wholesale transactions and acquisitions
- Challenged within a results-oriented team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products
- Ability for overnight significant travel
