Security Officer

POSITION SUMMARYStaff security posts and provide security for the personnel and property of, and visitors to, assigned U.S. Government property on the USS Constitution in Boston, MA. MUST possess a MA Class A Large Capacity LTC Clearance will be required on this contract. You must be able to obtain a secret or have a current security clearance. PAY TRANSPARENCY : $22.80 / hourHealth and Welfare rate $4.37 / hour (per 40 hours worked) RESPONSIBILITIESMan security posts for U.S. Government property, protecting personnel and property in a professional mannerInteract diplomatically and politely with the general public and visitorsEffectively and efficiently screen and process visitorsIdentify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulationsConduct internal and external roving foot patrolsConduct and control trafficMaintain excellent detection rate on x-ray machineDetect and respond to alarms and emergenciesSecure entrances and exits during emergenciesControl keys and lock combinationsCommunicate and remain accessible via two way radio or company issued cellular phoneUnderstand and comply with all requirements defined within company documents to include : Post and General Orders, plans, policies, proceduresObserve and report all offenses / incidentsComplete all reports and paperwork as requiredProvide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessaryMaintain mandated training requirements in accordance with company guidanceMaintain physical fitness, agility requirements, and weapons qualificationsEnsure safety requirements compliance and safe work practicesSupport safety programs Participate in Quality and Process Improvement programsPerform other duties as assignedRegular, in-person attendance is requiredQUALIFICATIONS Must possess a MA Class A Large Capacity LTC prior to being hired on the contract Active DoD SECRET (or higher) personnel security clearance preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance or higher. Priority consideration will be given to U.S. military veterans, current Reserve Component servicemembers, and those with a current active DoD Secret clearance Minimum combined 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience Must possess a valid driver's license Must be a citizen of the United States. Dual citizenship is strictly prohibited.
