Responsibilities
- Supports the strategic purchasing activities of others
- Develops an understanding of the capabilities of existing supply base to facilitate the day-to-day management of commercial matters
- Execution of assigned purchasing projects
- Participates in cross-functional and continuous improvement activities
- Negotiate purchasing terms and conditions with oversight
- Data gathering, analysis and report preparation as required
- Support the supplier development activities of others, as required
- Daily purchasing and material expediting, when needed
- Compliance with the company's business conduct guidelines
- Drive working capital targets by partnering with Operations, Warehouse and Supplier
- Reduced cost burden to the facility without compromise of product or service quality or availability
- Management of the 3-way match process (Purchase Orders, Receipts, Invoices)
- Expediting material as needed
- Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
- Participate in development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
- Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids
- Establish and maintains a collaborative relationship with internal and external customers
- Works to assist customers with filling their stock requests.
- Receiving, issuing, kitting, repair tracking and administration.
- Transaction execution and computer related task to support day-to-day activities and running reports as needed.
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred; Associates degree and/or Certification in Supply Chain Management considered.
- Minimum of 2 Year Procurement Experience is required
- General understanding of plant equipment and operations is preferred
- Proficient in ERP Systems and Microsoft Office is preferred
- Strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a multitasking environment is required
- Well- developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills is required
- Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines, multi-task and perform in a team-oriented environment is required
- Must be able to work sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing as needed
