Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and functionality within our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role involves various tasks related to industrial cleaning, custodial duties, and facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of commercial and residential spaces, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Execute floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report any issues promptly.
- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the functionality of the facility.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with other team members to support various maintenance projects as required.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly and replenished when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is a plus.
- Experience in floor care techniques such as buffing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices will be beneficial for this role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining a clean environment is essential.
