JOB DESCRIPTION
Project Support Specialist
FLSA: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:
The Project Support Specialist is responsible for developing the academic schedule, identifying potential faculty, and compiling syllabi each semester. In addition to serving as the primary record keeper for certain educational and instructor records and facilitation of advisory councils, this position provides training to faculty on the use of NCCER technology, assists with grant record-keeping, and acts as the testing coordinator for specific certifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Develop and manage class schedule, including instructor assignments
2. Compile syllabi and send them to instructors each semester
3. Train instructors on how to utilize technology offered through the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER)
4. Facilitator for Workforce Development Councils and follow-up on initiatives
5. Hiring new instructors
a. Identify candidates through CEF contacts and job postings
b. Coordinate interviews with the Director of Education, Workforce Development Council members, and Faculty as needed
c. Completion of new hire paperwork
6. Serve as NCCER Sponsor, assist with instructor NCCER Qualifications and maintenance of instructor records
7. Assist with Grant Management
a. Registration of students
b. Collection and maintenance of attendance records
8. Maintain Instructor and Students handbooks
9. Maintenance of course evaluation processes, including compilation of data and sharing of data with each instructor
10. Management of educational tools and equipment
11. Management of performance tracking reports for both students and instructors
12. Manage Testing Coordination & Reporting for EPA, TCEQ, TDLR, AMPS
13. Proctor prerequisite tests
14. Assist with Student Support & Guidance
15. Assist with instructor support
16. Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The Education Coordinator must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of administrative or related experience. Bi-lingual English/Spanish speakers are strongly preferred.
