Job Summary:
- We are seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee daily trade partner activities and evaluate work quality and efficiency.
- The successful candidate will review construction drawings, evaluate project schedules, and ensure timely completion of each home while maintaining contract obligations and safety protocols.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a strong attention to detail. Your experience working with construction teams, community sales personnel, and local authorities is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and Supervision: Oversee scheduling and supervision of daily trade partner activities, evaluating the quality and efficiency of their work.
- Drawings and Schedules: Review and request modifications to construction drawings when plan errors or conflicts arise, and evaluate project schedules to determine appropriate modifications.
- Project Completion: Ensure timely completion of each home, ensuring all contract obligations and safety protocols are satisfied.
- Customer Experience: Manage customer experience throughout the entire construction process, including regular communications to keep them informed of progress.
- Trade Partner Management: Interact with Community Sales personnel to manage community performance and customer activities, inspect trade partner workmanship and product quality, and authorize payment when standards are met.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Development, Process Improvement, Resource Planning, and Purchasing teams to address areas of improvement on plan quality, schedule adherence, trade performance, and budgetary challenges.
- Recruitment and Vetting: Participate in trade partner recruiting and vetting, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal building code requirements and company standards of workmanship.
