The Construction Industry Education Foundation (CIEF) exists to recruit, educate, and inspire the design, construction, and trade professionals of tomorrow. CIEF has been rapidly expanding our programming to address the growing labor shortage within our industry.
Overview
This position requires a dynamic, highly motivated, and energetic individual. This position reports to the Director of National Youth Programs and works to promote and coordinate the workforce development activities and events of the organization. This is a remote office position based in Texas with an option to work-from-home or from a shared office space. A majority of this position is focused on the administrative work and operational execution required for student programs and competitions. The Events and Programs Manager will be expected to manage high school workforce programs including the Design Build Competitions®, Trades Days, and Fundraising events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Events & Programs Manager’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Organize, plan, support, and evaluate workforce development, and scholarship programs.
- Manage pre-developed program budgets in coordination with the Director of National Youth Programs.
- Manage and execute fundraising efforts for programs through sponsorship outreach and relationship building to new and existing partners.
- Manage chapter boards, program committees, advisory boards, program details, sponsors, volunteers, and materials.
- Outreach to the construction industry to increase visibility and support the CIEF’s workforce programs including attending industry events and managing the brand of CIEF throughout Texas.
- Coordinate program statistics for grant funding and fund development reports.
- Build relationships with local schools by attending advisory board meetings and events.
- Attend networking events to support fundraising efforts.
- Other duties as requested.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
This is a full-time position with supplemental benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and a 401k savings program. The anticipated salary is $60,000-$65,000. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and provide proof of auto insurance.
