What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flagging Foreman position at Construction Masters Services and Summit Flagging?
We are seeking an experienced Flagging Foreman for our Summit Flagging division!
The Flagging Foreman is responsible for supervising the work of all site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely and on time. This position is primarily a hands-on role and is responsible for all communications with their specific crew members and management team.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities include:
· Provide morning attendance report back to office each morning
· Ensures crews arrive at job sites with the necessary equipment and documentation
· Attends at least one morning huddle each day
· Takes and submits job site photos to Foundations system
· Visits sites and coordinates employee breaks
· Provides feedback on field conditions
· Collects and returns all paperwork filled out by crews to the office
· Assists Project Manager with scheduling manpower and equipment during daily scheduling meeting
· Monitors and controls all site safety and PPE
· Ensures daily maintenance tickets are filled out for all CMS equipment.
· Ensures and enforces OSHA/Publication 213 regulations
· Responsible for the maintenance of company property including trucks and tools in clean, neat, and organized fashion
· Demonstrates and communicates the CMS vision and culture.
· Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures
All other responsibilities include:
· Gathers feedback from site owners to ensure customer satisfaction
· Responds to emergency calls from customers on field operations
· Respond to emergency calls on a rotating “on-call” schedule and dispatches crews to the emergency sites
· Ensures inventory sheets are properly completed by team on a weekly basis
· Ensures accident/incident/near miss reports are completed promptly and accurately and submitted to the Safety department when needed
· Looks at larger scale jobs and identifies needs of the operation
· Conducts proper corrective actions of team members including documentation and accountability for infractions of company procedures
· Provides feedback on employee performance
· Collaborates with Human Resources to address concerns with employee performance
· Conducts employee performance reviews and provides recommendation for promotion
· Performs related duties as assigned
Education, Skills and/or Work Experience Requirements:

· Previous experience is required
· Strong understanding of equipment and manpower utilization for project sites.
· Knowledge of necessary PennDot TTC Guidelines is required
· Display high levels of organization.
· Ability to understand and use basic computer programs including email, MS Office, BambooHR and Foundation software
· Extensive knowledge of construction best practices, OSHA and ADA guidelines.
· Ability to acquire and maintain DOT physical for company vehicle use.
Physical Requirements:
· Digital dexterity and eye/hand coordination
· Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying of material – up to 50lbs.
· Ability to withstand varying weather typical in the region of work
· Ability to work an average of 45 hours per week annually
