What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restoration Division Manager position at Construction Masters Services and Summit Flagging?
Job Purpose: The ideal person for this position will play a significant role in developing and implementing comprehensive business strategies for the division. They will oversee and manage budgeting, estimating, inventory control, while also ensuring company targets are reached. The candidate will be a leader for a distinct business unit within the organization. The person in this position needs to be initiative-taking, innovative, highly organized, with strong leadership capability, and a desire to expand and grow a division.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
·The Division Manager will work closely with the President, HR & the Restoration team to carry out policies, philosophies and division goals.
·Submit financial update information to DOF monthly.
·Review and manage contracts with new clients, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
·Responsible for estimating job bids and reaching division goals.
·Manage projects accordingly to reach division goals.
·Coordinate assets and resources across divisions.
·Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures. Including safety and training practices.
·Responsible for tracking equipment purchases. This also includes tracking and maintaining job materials.
·Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
·Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
·Responsible for sourcing and establishing remote yards as directed.
·Required to attend mechanics, WIP and policy meetings.
·Required to hold weekly look ahead and daily scheduling meetings.
·Responsible for creating job descriptions as required for the Restoration division and hiring to maintain required staff.
·Lead and manage the Restoration division by assigning tasks, resolving conflicts, and fostering collaboration.
·Ensure and enforce OSHA regulations.
·Proper discipline of team members including documentation and accountability for infractions of company procedures.
·Provide employee evaluations, as necessary.
·Performs related duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, and/or Work Experience Requirements:
·Thorough understanding of contracts and documents.
·Strong understanding of equipment and workforce utilization for project sites.
·Maintain and exemplify a positive attitude and work atmosphere in all situations.
·The ability to provide supervision, as necessary.
·Strong leadership skills and accountability – exemplify and maintain positive culture.
·Team player – treating and encouraging team members with respect.
·Extensive knowledge of construction best practices, OSHA and ADA guidelines.
Physical Requirement:
· Digital dexterity and eye/hand coordination in the operation of equipment
· Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying of material – up to 80lbs.
· Ability to withstand various weather typical in the region of work.
