What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver position at Construction Masters Services?
Job Purpose :
Operates and safely drives vehicles with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 lbs to transport paving materials and construction supplies or equipment.
Essential duties and responsibilities :
- Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle.
- Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs.
- Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck, flatbed to prevent damage / injury.
- Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery.
- Perform inspections on your vehicle prior to and following each trip.
- Check weather conditions and road reports before departure.
- Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean.
- Maintain vehicle as needed (refuel, check oil, tire pressure, etc)
- Notify managers of any major maintenance issues encountered.
- Track and report working hours.
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to weather / road conditions.
- Performs related duties as assigned
- Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures
