Fire Alarm Installation Technician

We are looking for a few Fire Alarm system installers for work in Mt Vernon, OH.   Must have a Fire Alarm license and be able to pass a background check.   

Fire Protection System Installation:

• Install and configure various fire protection systems, including fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and other fire detection and suppression equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately position and install fire protection devices and equipment.

1. Testing and Commissioning:
   • Conduct comprehensive testing of fire protection systems after installation to verify their proper functioning and compliance with regulatory standards.
   • Perform system commissioning to ensure that all components and subsystems work together seamlessly and as intended.
     1. Comply with all safety protocols and guidelines during installations and maintenance activities to minimize risk and prevent accidents.
     2. Stay up-to-date with the latest fire protection technologies, regulations, and best practices through continuous learning and training opportunities
2. Compliance and Documentation:
   • Ensure that all installed fire protection systems meet local, state, and national fire codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
   • Maintain accurate records of all installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs, including documentation of any corrective actions taken.
   • REQUIREMENTS
   • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in fire protection systems is advantageous.
   • Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems or related fields.
   • Strong knowledge of fire codes, standards, and regulations relevant to the region of operation.
   • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
   • Proficient in using hand and power tools for installation and repairs.
   • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
   • Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
   • Commitment to safety and compliance with safety guidelines.
