What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Construction Superintendent (Traveling) position at Construction One?

We are currently searching for experienced commercial traveling superintendents to join our team. Your home base can be anywhere in the United States and then you could travel to anywhere in the US for a project as we are licensed in all 50 states. We are looking for superintendents who have experience building ground up commercial construction projects such as gas stations, restaurants, banks, daycares and retail stores.
The Superintendent will be responsible for the onsite coordination and management of all site construction activities while supervising field personnel to successfully complete the project on schedule, within budget, and exceeding customer expectations. This includes maintaining the highest quality, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Become familiar with plans, specifications, site, local codes, local officials and inspection procedures
- Set up field office, communications, temporary services and trash removal as required
- Assist Project Manager in developing the project schedule
- Schedule all subcontractors and deliveries as needed to meet the project schedule
- Schedule and attend all required inspections
- Complete and submit all paperwork as required
- Establish and maintain benchmarks and reference points for ongoing layout of work
- Work with owner, owner's rep, architect and subcontractors to resolve any conflicts that may arise and communicate any such conflicts immediately to Project Manager
- Communicate, implement and enforce company safety policy as it pertains to assigned project
- Attend job meetings and / or any other meetings that may be required for the successful and timely completion of the project
- Attend walk through at job completion to ascertain punch list
- Facilitate weekly safety meetings at jobsite
- Execute punch list in a timely manner and obtain all necessary signed acknowledgments
- Close out field office and project as necessary
- Will need to obtain OSHA 30-hour certification
- Attend all meetings and training as required
- Travel to the home office as needed for training, meetings, etc.
- Communicate proactively and often with all parties involved in the project
- Other duties as assigned / needed
