ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our rapidly growing civil construction firm, with a strong focus on bridges, highways, rail, and marine infrastructure projects. This pivotal role reports directly to the President and will play a key part in shaping the company’s future as it enters an exciting new phase of expansion.
The position is based in Nashville, TN, or can be worked remotely from anywhere in the U.S. on a hybrid basis.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Serve as the top financial leader, overseeing all financial functions including strategic planning, budgeting, banking, insurance, audits, taxes, and internal controls.
Partner closely with executive leadership to drive financial strategy, operational efficiency, and profitable growth
Lead and mentor accounting and finance teams, ensuring smooth, compliant, and scalable operations
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and vendors to support contract execution and fiscal performance on large-scale infrastructure projects
Implement forward-thinking financial systems and tools to support real-time data-driven decision-making

QUALIFICATIONS & IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
Proven track record in financial leadership within the civil construction industry (EPC, D/B, Construction Management, or General Contractor experience preferred)
Expertise in strategic financial planning, budgeting, audit/tax compliance, and ERP/accounting systems
Strong leadership, team development, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience working with infrastructure projects (bridges, highways, rail, marine) a plus
Open to CFOs or high-performing Controllers/VPs of Finance ready for their next big step
No local network or prior Nashville experience required—relocation assistance provided, or work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
