We’re looking for a skilled journeyman electrician to add to our growing team. In this role, it will be your job to assist our customers in the maintenance, repair, and installation of their electrical systems. We’re hoping to hire a journeyman electrician who has already completed an electrician apprenticeship, but we are open to considering the right candidate who has not.

Pay rate is $31.00 / hr taxable PLUS $13.46 / hr fringe
PD $50 Daily for 7 days as long as you work all available shifts
Estimated month and a half to two months duration

Responsibilities :
The primary duties of a Journeyman Electrician is to focus on installation support. Their responsibilities can vary significantly not only from one position to another but also from day to day in the same role. On any given day, they may undertake a range of tasks, including :
Bending and installing exposed conduit inclusive of EMT and / or Rigid conduitInstallation of conveyor systems : general transport, power curves, slope plate carousels, and baggage conveyorsInstallation of wire way, cable trey, junction boxes, photo eyes, start / stop switchesRead blue prints, schematics, and drawingsWorking knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E (Standard for electrical safety in the workplace)Knowledgeable on electrical maintenance and mechanics of test equipmentDemonstrate and uphold all core values such as integrity, accountability, and teamworkMaintain security and limited access to BHS and screening equipment.Requirements :
General Electrical Journeyman License or Manufacturing Plant Electrical licenseElectronic schooling in controllers, data gathering and solid-state controls, HMI technology, computers or PLC's is preferred.Five years of verifiable experience running and bending EMT and rigid conduitThree years experience working with automated baggage handling or materials handling systems is preferred.Familiarity with medium and low voltage systems including repairs and adjustmentsCapability to terminate medium voltage connections and safely work with medium voltage gearAbility to understand and interpret the NECRead and follow prints, drawings, and schematicsEnsure all safety requirements of lockout / tag out procedures are strictly adhered toExperience working in an aviation or industrial setting is desirable.Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for unescorted access to secure areas of the airport is required.Valid driver's license is required.Skills and Abilities :
Must possess strong trouble shooting skills and the knowledge to use computers and software to do so.Strong mechanical aptitude.Ability to :Work in tight spaces and at heights.
Work in noisy, heated environment in and around fast-moving equipment.Lift and move up to 100 pounds with or without assistance.Follow instructions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.Work independently, with little or no supervision.Exercise good judgment in the absence of specific direction.Communicate well both orally and in writing.Work cooperatively with internal and external customers including the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Airport Operations Supervisors (AOS), Portland Airline Consortium (PAC), airport tenants, and airline personnel.CRAS adheres to a strict Substance abuse policy.
