Summary/Objective
The Field Project Manager is responsible for site supervision of assigned projects. Responsibilities include coordination of subcontractors and delivery and installation of material necessary for kitchens cabinets, vanities and countertops of residential multi-unit projects. This position will provide on-site support and leadership to the subcontractors as well as daily reports to NSW and its related customer. This individual will adhere to construction schedule, ensuring the project is completed meeting budget and passing required inspections related to kitchen and bath installations.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate with production and logistics teams to maintain site’s installation schedule for cabinets and countertops
- Ensures on-site verification of all material deliveries to ensure proper sizing and quantity of all ordered material
- Work with site Superintendent to allocate time and space for cabinet and countertop deliveries
- Ensure countertop laydown area is properly marked and maintained on a daily/weekly basis – proper documentation is sustained using photos and field notes
- Ensure delivered cabinets are properly stored in the units ready for installation
- Ensure that material on site is stored neatly and protected from the weather
- Oversee on-site day to day installation activity to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings and installation schedules and budgets as well as applicable building regulations
- Ensure necessary tools are inventoried and locked on site at the end of each day
- Conduct daily and weekly walk through with subcontractors to document any uncompleted items prior to approving subcontractor invoice
- Tracks completion of remaining items to ensure all open punch list items are completed including both GC and Owner’s punch
- Conducts and documents daily safety meetings and ensures compliance
- Ensure job site is operated and maintained with appropriate safety procedures and includes first-aid kit on site at all times
- Ensure subcontractors follow site’s safety protocol and procedures with utmost priority given to the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including hard hat, safety vest, gloves, face masks etc.
- Ensure any injuries are appropriately reported to the Project Manager and properly documented in an NSW Incident Report
- Responsible for proper safeguarding and security of rental vehicles such as bobcat, forklift etc.
- Attend and actively participate in daily and weekly subcontractor meetings to communicate NSW progress of installation
- Monitors installation progress and ensures right amount of material, labor and subcontractors are present on site at all times
- Completes all required reports accurately and timely
Competencies/Skills/Abilities
- High School Diploma required for this position
- State issued Driver’s License is required for this position
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in construction industry – multi units project experience will be ideal
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Highly motivated and trustworthy individual requiring minimal supervision
- Good management skills and the ability to work with and supervise a variety of people with differing levels of motivation and experience. Well-developed organizational and decision-making abilities
- Must have excellent “people” skills. Effective communicator with both internal and external customers
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and prints
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Must function well in a fast-paced environment with high energy and a high sense of urgency
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
