Warehouse Associate

Position Overview:

The Garage Door Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in supporting daily operations by handling, organizing, and preparing garage door components and materials for delivery and installation. This position involves both general and specialized warehouse tasks including loading, unloading, staging, order pulling, shipping, and equipment operation. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, and ready to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload garage door panels, tracks, springs, and hardware

• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials

• Pick and stage orders accurately for installation teams and deliveries

• Build and bundle garage door systems and components for outbound loads

• Secure materials using strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or overhead cranes (as trained and certified)

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and yard

• Conduct inventory checks and assist with cycle counts

• Collaborate with internal teams including installers, subcontractors, and warehouse staff

• Adhere to all safety policies and encourage safe practices

• Perform additional duties as assigned by warehouse supervisors

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Warehouse or construction material handling experience preferred

• Forklift and overhead crane operation experience a plus (OSHA certification desirable)

• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs consistently and perform physical labor

• Must pass a pre-employment physical and background check

• Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail

• Ability to work in temperature-variable environments and outdoor conditions

• Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment
