What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Construction Solutions Group (CSG)?
Primary Responsibilities
- Leads the preparation of accurate monthly financial reports including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cashflow statements.
- Leads Accounting team by ensuring direct reports are successful in accomplishing their objectives and exemplifying organization values.
- Interprets and communicates key project and accounting information effectively to financial and operational users.
- Reviews, reconciles, and adjusts ledger balances including various payroll related accounts.
- Ensures compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates with internal/external audit teams.
- Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of ten years relevant experience and CPA accreditation.
- Financial or Construction Controller experience or similar relevant work experience and knowledge of construction industry concepts and practices strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and relevant accounting software experience.
- Proficiency in D365 or similar accounting/ERP system.
