What are the responsibilities and job description for the Print Room Technician - Stoughton, WI position at Construction Solutions Group (CSG)?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drawing Management: Process and organize shop, field, and erection drawings for release to fabrication and construction teams.
- Revision Control: Maintain accurate digital files for all drawings, including design drawings, approvals, shop releases, revisions, as-builts, and voided drawings.
- Material Support: Prioritize and distribute Advanced Bills of Material (ABMs) to purchasing and inventory, supporting early identification of material needs or issues.
- CNC File Coordination: Support CNC/CAM file processing and ensure files are properly linked to fabrication drawings.
- Project Communication: Log, file, distribute, and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals.
- Change Tracking: Assist with change order documentation and quantity take-offs related to drawing changes.
- Deadline Monitoring: Help monitor and support project deadlines for engineering, fabrication, and subcontractor deliveries.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Collaborate with purchasing, project management, and engineering to keep projects running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong initiative, drive to learn, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with reading structural or construction drawings (or a strong willingness to learn).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Clear, professional communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with document control systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience in structural steel, construction, or fabrication environments.
- Background in CNC/CAM file management or drawing revision control.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (such as Tekla EPM) is a bonus.
