Job Brief
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and repairs.
POSITIONS DUTIES
Performs minor maintenance and repair duties on reported deficiencies at location.
Reports deficiencies throughout the facility, including environmental concerns such and temperature, air quality and other quality of life concerns.
Ensures that facility is maintained in a safe, comfortable and useful condition. Seeks direction from engineering department as needed, and follows instructions.
Maintains safe access to the facility during inclement weather, including but not limited to: Clearing snow/ice from all approaches to the facility including doorways, ramps and driveways. Applies snow/ice melt to above areas as needed. Calls for snow/ice clearing services as required. Keeps interior floors from getting wet, by using mats to absorb moisture, and mops/fans to dry bare floors. Utilize Wet Floor signs to alert people of slippery conditions.
Prepares work area to perform job function.
Transports furniture, equipment and supplies as needed.
Run errands, purchases and picks up supplies and parts for maintenance projects as needed.
Follows safe procedures when working on a ladder.
Inspects and secure proper use of equipment.
Conduct maintenance analyses and generate reports to reflect findings.
Provide assistance to engineering coworkers as needed in field of specialty to finish project as needed.
Maintain maintenance logs and required paperwork.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Two-year experience in minor repairs (electric, plumbing and carpentry).Must have basic working knowledge of electric, plumbing, HVAC, diagnostic equipment, adaptive equipment, construction equipment and general maintenance
Maintains required NYC certificate of fitness for Fire Alarm systems.
Valid NYS driver’s license and must be within acceptance of insurance limitations of Cerebral Palsy vehicles.
Willing to travel multiple locations...
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Performs all job responsibilities in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Adheres to the agency’s corporate compliance program, including the code of business conduct, the NYS and federal false claims acts, whistleblower protections and mandatory reporting. Completes corporate compliance training. Fully cooperates in all corporate compliance investigations and reviews.
