Job Summary:
The Steward will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas of the Consul General’s residence. This role includes assisting with meal service, cleaning dishes and kitchen equipment, and ensuring a smooth dining experience for the household and guests. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and able to work efficiently in a private residence setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, and kitchen utensils after meals.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, and pantry.
- Assist with meal service, including setting and clearing the table.
- Ensure kitchen appliances, counters, and floors are kept clean and organized.
- Assist the chef with basic food preparation when needed.
- Manage kitchen supplies and notify when restocking is needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role (hospitality, housekeeping, or private residence preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Professional, discreet, and able to work efficiently in a household setting.
- Basic understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
