The Role:
You will work with both the real estate and development teams to ensure renewable energy projects are being developed, built and construction in accordance with the law.
This will by hybrid 2-3 days in office (TX or CA)
Responsibilities:
- Draft documents for a renewable project, including amendments, assignments, etc.
- Establish relationships with companies to obtain titles for the dev of renewable projects
- Organize and review incoming title commitments
- Prepare title checklist for projects in early and mid-stages of development
- Identify items needed and prepare documents such as affidavits, SNDAs, letters of no objection, surface waivers, etc.
- Review project surveys and provide feedback to real estate and development teams
- Assist with late-stage title review to ensure projects are de-risked from a site control, title, and survey perspective prior to construction
- Work within the Real Estate and Permitting Law team’s region, alongside the attorney and real estate specialist, to maintain processes and procedures
Essential Skills/Experience:
- 3-5 years of renewables experience
- Paralegal cert (preferred)
- Land, real estate and permitting experience
