Senior Analyst - Power Trading I NYC I $150,000 - 180,000 DOE
The Role:
This technical position is a key addition to a small but growing middle office team, in which you will play a key role in helping both safeguard the business by managing risk and also execute strategic plans to better the development and growth of the team and company.
Non-negotiable experience:
- Power trading is essential - need to know how power trading works and the nuances within it
- Must have physically done VaR calculations and understand how market volatilities and pricing changes affect the VaR
- Strong programming skills - could be using any language, SQL, Python, R etc.
- Keenness to be part of a growing team and help support senior leadership to execute development plans
Desirable experience:
- Experience working in this role for an energy supplier or generator would be ideal
