Job Title : Director of Commercialization

Location : United States with travel as needed.

Are you a dynamic leader with expertise in project management, sustainability, and commercialization?

We’re seeking a Director of Commercialization and Sustainability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans, ensuring new products move seamlessly from concept to commercial launch.

This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead packaging development for new and existing products while focusing on sustainable solutions.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external manufacturers to drive innovation, efficiency, and environmental responsibility in all aspects of product development.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Management

  • Manage programs and projects through a structured stage gate process with a thorough understanding of Cosmetic, OTC, Rx, and Medical Device regulations and production processes.
  • Drive on-time, on-cost, and on-spec project completion, ensuring successful product launches.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams to align product features, packaging, and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a liaison with contract manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with supply agreements.

Package Development

  • Identify and evaluate packaging trends, providing insights to stakeholders on implementation opportunities.
  • Lead the ideation, sourcing, testing, and design of primary, secondary, and promotional retail packaging.
  • Foster collaboration across teams, ensuring meaningful feedback is shared and implemented effectively.

    • Sustainability

  • Address environmental risks and integrate sustainability into product and packaging development.
  • Explore, evaluate, and implement methods to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and harmful chemicals while increasing circular materials (e.g., PCR recyclable plastics).
  • Drive initiatives to achieve environmentally conscious solutions in packaging and products.

    • Qualifications and Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, with 10 years of progressively responsible experience in project / program management, preferably in the skincare or related industries.
  • Experience in a global role with exposure to European and Asian markets.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a talent for building collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while adapting to the changing needs of the business.
