Pay Rate: $65.00 to $70.00 per hr.

The Software Engineer oversees application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. This position monitors system applications, ensures systems run smoothly, and creates reports and other documentation outlining findings/solutions. This position sits within the Technology department.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversees the development and installation of new hardware and software
• Provides advice and recommendations to management on processes and techniques required for improved work operations
• Installs and configures systems and other software
• Tests installed software for malfunction detection
• Identifies and resolves business systems issues
• Designs and deploys new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems
• Measures the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
• Develops and implements strategies to improve systems
• Monitors and tests system performance
• Oversees the training of junior engineers to improve job skills and work efficiency
• Typically has full ownership of a process

Required Skills

• 7 years of experience with .NET API development
• 7 years of experience with AWS resource configuration
• Additional React development experience
• Advanced .NET development (C#/.NET Core). They are using .Net Core 8
• Proficient Node.js development for backend services
• Python development for automation, scripting, and data processing
• Understanding of TypeScript for React and enhanced Node.js development
• Understanding of development patterns and best practices, including Backend for Frontend (BFF), container and presentation, service-repository, Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS), for UI, API, and microservice development
• Experience with React state management libraries, including Redux, MobX, React Context API, Recoil, Zustand
• Experience with Vite as a React application build tool
• Familiarity with UI and API testing libraries and frameworks, including xUnit, Jest, Cypress, Cucumber
