Job Description:

Our client is looking for a forward-thinking architect and hands-on technology leader who excels at challenging conventions, pushing limits, and bringing bold ideas to life. Do you have a passion for experimenting with emerging technologies, rapid prototyping, and building groundbreaking solutions from scratch?
They are looking for a highly innovative Senior Enterprise Architect to lead the Innovation Development Team. In this role, you will guide a team of elite engineers in an agile, fast-paced environment to explore cutting-edge technologies, create proof-of-concepts, and swiftly prototype disruptive solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership
  • Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade Java applications.
  • Establish and uphold coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide the engineering team, fostering technical growth and innovation.
• Architecture & Design
  • Design scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions that align with business and technical needs.
  • Assess and select the best tools, frameworks, and technologies for each project.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure architectural decisions support business objectives.
• Software Development
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code.
  • Develop and enhance APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
• Performance & Optimization
  • Analyze and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges across the software stack.
• Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to drive seamless development.
  • Contribute to agile processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and CI/CD workflows.
• Innovation & Emerging Technologies
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in software engineering.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance systems and processes.

Required Experience:

• Education & Experience - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Extensive Technical Background - 8 years of hands-on experience in Java development and software architecture.
• Innovative Problem-Solver - A creative thinker with relentless curiosity and a passion for tackling complex challenges in unconventional ways.
• Leadership & Mentorship - Proven ability to lead, inspire, and mentor senior engineering teams.
• Strong Communication & Collaboration - Exceptional skills in communication, collaboration, design, and negotiation, with the ability to articulate, present, and document complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
• Enterprise Architecture Expertise - Deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, methodologies, as well as DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Cloud & Hybrid Solutions - Experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid cloud integrations.
• Modern Architecture Knowledge - Familiarity with service mesh and event-driven architecture.
• API & Microservices Development - Expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Database Proficiency - Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• System Performance & Scalability - Skilled in designing and optimizing systems for high performance, reliability, and scalability to meet strict SLAs and uptime requirements.
• Business-Driven Technical Solutions - Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical implementations.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in Python.
• Understanding of UML (Unified Modeling Language) or ArchiMate.
• Hands-on experience with project management and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with distributed systems, asynchronous programming, or event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular, React, or Flutter for full-stack development.
• Knowledge of performance testing and monitoring tools such as JMeter.
• Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Certifications in Java or cloud technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional Java SE, AWS Certified Developer).
• Exposure to advanced technologies such as Quantum Computing, Generative AI, or Bioinformatics.
• Familiarity with DARPA-style innovation projects or Skunkworks initiatives.
