You will be responsible for leading the team through implementations and design to enhance reliability at all stages of product development.
Job Description:
- Contribute to all stages of product development, from initial concept to ongoing improvement, ensuring robust and dependable outcomes.
- Take ownership of and deliver all assigned reliability engineering tasks throughout the product development process.
- Execute comprehensive quality planning and reliability design activities across multiple concurrent product initiatives.
- Interpret customer requirements to develop detailed functional engineering specifications and validation tests that guarantee product and process strength.
- Evaluate field data to refine requirement setting and improve testing methodologies.
- Establish rigorous quality and reliability plan requirements for components, assemblies, subsystems, and complete systems.
- Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) sessions for hardware, software, service, and processes to identify potential issues and enhance validation testing.
- Conduct in-depth statistical life data analysis to support investigations and decision-making.
- Guide and train other engineers in the practical application of reliability methodologies.
- Oversee failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action systems, coordinating with various teams to ensure effective issue resolution.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline (e.g., electrical, mechanical, materials science, physics) combined with a minimum of 8 years of applicable professional experience.
- Proven ability to utilize data-driven methodologies and analytical techniques to effectively resolve complex problems.
- Excellent ability to articulate intricate technical information in a clear and understandable manner to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated track record of working with and enhancing the reliability of sophisticated electro-mechanical systems.
- Practical experience applying reliability-focused design tools and methodologies to improve hardware performance and durability.
- Hands-on experience with reliability data analysis software and tools, including those used for life data analysis and failure mode assessments.
- Strong working knowledge of applied statistics and experience using statistical software packages.
- Understanding of key quality and reliability monitoring metrics and performance indicators.
- Knowledge of reliability warranty analysis and reliability prediction methodologies.
- Familiarity with various failure analysis techniques, including microscopy, imaging, and compositional analysis.
- Certifications related to reliability or quality engineering (e.g., ASQ) are a plus.
- Experience within industries that involve high-volume manufacturing of durable goods, such as automotive, consumer products, industrial equipment, or energy sectors.
