JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Estimator will be responsible for estimating projects of various sizes and types within the industrial, office, education, and healthcare industries. Project sizes range from $10,000 up to $20 million. This person will largely support the design/build manager by providing estimates for schematic, design development and permit level drawings.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide accurate budgets for projects in the conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documents level of a project design.
- Provide hard bid, competitive estimating for plan and spec projects.
- Assist service department with estimates on smaller projects with line-item budgets
- Provide value engineering analysis
- Be able to handle multiple estimates at one time.
- Present estimates and budgets to customers, providing backup documentation as needed
- Work with designers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal associates as needed.

- Ability to develop customer and vendor relationships.
- Ability to develop scope of work based on limited information
- Strong math and writing skills

- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Strong presentation skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a construction related field.
- 3-5 years of construction estimating experience.
