Role Overview:

We're looking for an experienced Lead ML Engineer to drive our machine learning initiatives and enhance our platform's use of advanced language models. As a core contributor to our engineering team, you'll lead the development of essential services that support a dynamic, data-driven platform. In this role, you'll handle end-to-end model workflows, including dataset creation, model architecture, deployment, and performance optimization of language models.

You'll focus on tasks like extracting structured data, building ranking algorithms, creating recommendation engines, and constructing knowledge graphs to deepen the accuracy and speed of user profiles. Your work will empower users with rich insights across our network of people and companies. This position offers the opportunity to engage with the latest advancements NLP, make key decisions on our technical architecture, and be part of a high-impact team shaping the future of our product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage models in production to tackle tasks like data extraction, categorization, quality assessment, text summarization, and ranking optimization.
• Source and refine datasets from both internal platforms and external sources to fuel model accuracy and efficiency.
• Keep pace with cutting-edge developments in machine learning, NLP, and large language models, applying new insights to improve our systems.
• Work closely with the founding technical team to design and maintain AI systems that enrich detailed profiles of individuals and organizations.
• Diagnose and resolve issues, optimize system performance, and enhance the reliability of functionalities.

Requirements:

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering with a primary focus on machine learning and 1 in leading a team.
• Extensive knowledge of recent advancements in NLP, such as transformers, language models, question answering, and information retrieval.
• Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously as the sole engineer on a team, effectively managing end-to-end responsibilities.
• Proven experience deploying models into production and continuously optimizing for performance.
• Strong analytical mindset and innovative problem-solving skills, capable of addressing complex technical challenges.
