Job Description:
Our client is looking for a strong Reports Developer with expertise in PowerBI, SQL, and some light Python. This person will be supplementing the current, small development team with a large scale data governance project within a financial services organization. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards using Power BI, SQL, and Python. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will also:

• Develop and maintain interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources
• Utilize Python for data analysis, automation of reporting tasks, and enhancing existing reporting processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and dashboards
• Provide support and training to end-users on report usage and best practices
• Document processes, data sources, and reporting methodologies for future reference
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data visualization and reporting

• 3 years as a report developer or in a similar role within the financial services industry
• Strong expertise in Power BI, including DAX functions and report design
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
• Experience with Python for data analysis and automation tasks
• Familiarity with financial data and metrics
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes

• Experience with data visualization best practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
