The Senior Security Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures for information systems to regulate access and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure of sensitive information. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity, tool management, and custom policy creation, as well as the ability to lead security-focused projects and initiatives to protect organizational assets.

• Security Measures & Risk Mitigation: Design, implement, and manage security measures to safeguard information systems. Identify security issues and risks, and develop comprehensive mitigation plans to prevent unauthorized access or data loss.
• Security Tool Management: Manage and configure security tools, including building custom rules for security tools to meet compliance and business security requirements. Experience with deploying and testing new software and security policies.
• Cybersecurity Knowledge & Incident Response: Strong experience in cybersecurity areas such as SASE, firewalls, and zero-trust security models. Proficient in managing Secure Email Gateways, email flow management, and SMTP protocols. Collaborate with cyber operations teams to respond to security incidents and breaches.
• Data Protection & DLP: Lead the management of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems, including classification, labeling, and policy enforcement across multiple technologies. Ensure data is securely classified and managed in accordance with organizational security protocols.
• Security Compliance & Governance: Participate in security compliance efforts, and develop and deliver training materials to increase awareness of security risks and technology tools. Maintain and enforce compliance with security standards and frameworks such as Microsoft Security and Compliance.
• Emerging Technologies & Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies to improve the organization's security posture. Lead the implementation and management of new security tools and solutions.
• Policy Creation & Testing: Take an active role in the creation of custom security policies, including testing and deploying new software/policies in real-world environments. Ensure policies meet business needs while maintaining a strong security posture.

• Experience: 6 years of experience in information technology, with a strong background in security engineering and tool management. Experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing, auditing, and implementing security solutions.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in security engineering, system and network security, authentication, security protocols, and email gateway management (SMTP, Microsoft Exchange Online). Strong experience in data security and incident response.
• Certifications: A security certification such as CompTIA Security (Sec ) is highly desired. Additional certifications like CISSP, or equivalent, are a plus.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Specialized Skills: Expertise in SASE, firewall management, Secure Email Gateways, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). Experience in deploying and managing security tools across various environments.
• Soft Skills: Self-motivated, requiring minimal guidance, and capable of troubleshooting complex IT issues. Ability to communicate effectively across teams and build strong working relationships to enhance security awareness and practices.
