Job Description : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Cisco Security Engineer to join our security team. As a critical member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced Cisco security solutions to protect our infrastructure and data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cisco security technologies, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of network security best practices. CCIE Security certification is preferred, though CCNP Security will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and configuration of Cisco security solutions, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client), Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FMC and Firewalls), Cisco Secure Endpoint, and MFA / Duo solutions.
- Monitor security operations, analyze security events, and respond to incidents actively. Ensure optimal performance and uptime of all security solutions.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards based on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting for advanced security incidents and perform root-cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineering, IT operations, and compliance, to ensure cohesive security measures are in place.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of configurations, architectures, operational procedures, and security policies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, recommending improvements to enhance the organization's security posture.
- Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and staff on security principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Prepare and present regular reports of security incidents and trends to stakeholders, as well as recommendations for improvement.
