A leading EPC firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This hybrid role focuses on electrical design, system optimization, and project execution for large-scale renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop preliminary and detailed electrical designs for PV and BESS projects.
- Optimize DC, MVAC, and LVAC system performance and cost.
- Support estimating and procurement teams with BOM and SOV analysis.
- Guide CAD designers in creating site layouts and single-line diagrams.
- Ensure compliance with utility interconnection agreements and project requirements.
- Provide expertise on modules, inverters, racking, switchgear, transformers, and Client/EMS technologies.
- Mentor junior engineers and design leads.
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
- 8 years of electrical engineering experience, with 3 years in Solar PV design or construction.
- Experience negotiating utility-scale PV contracts within an EPC environment.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, Microsoft Office (SAM, Cymcap, DIgSILENT, and WinIGS are a plus).
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical components and manufacturer specifications.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
- Salary: $156K - $180K, based on experience.
