Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Desk and Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be essential in supporting both clinical and administrative functions, ensuring that our practice runs smoothly and efficiently. You will work directly with patients and healthcare staff, assisting with medical procedures, maintaining patient records, and performing various office tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Patient Record Management : Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including transitioning paper files to electronic health records (EHR).
  • Pre-Appointment Preparation : Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history before each appointment.
  • Clinical Support : Assist with basic medical examinations, perform phlebotomy, administer injections, and provide vaccines as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Examination Room Preparation : Ensure examination rooms are clean, well-stocked, and prepared for patient appointments.
  • Front Office Duties : Answer phones, schedule appointments, greet patients upon arrival, and provide general administrative support.
  • Inventory Management : Assist the office manager and nursing team in managing medical supplies, tracking inventory levels, and placing orders for necessary materials.
  • Patient Education : Explain common medical procedures and instructions to patients in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Team Collaboration : Work closely with healthcare providers and office staff to ensure seamless patient care and office operations.

Qualifications :

  • Certification : Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or possess equivalent certification.
  • Experience : At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual : Fluency in both Spanish and English is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population.
  • Customer Service : Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate, professional care to patients.
  • Organizational Skills : Experience with inventory management, patient recordkeeping, and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
