Description:
Our client has an immediate need for an API Platform Systems Analyst, who will be responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is a plus
- 3-5 years of experience
- Ability to establish a central repository to provide API inventory - Classification, Ownership, Rating
- Understanding of the architecture design of an API design, used to catalog the APIs into the central repository
- Understanding identifying risk, and how to classify APIs (IBM API Connect, Apigee, or DataPower)
- Knowledge of API platforms
- Experience with the Use of SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.
- Knowledge of other API management products, Confluence, and Apache is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Work with application owners of APIs to figure out a plan to get those APIs compliant
- Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
- Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs
- Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
- Interview or survey workers, observe job performance, or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed
- Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility so information can be shared
