Delphi Developer

Description:

Our client has an immediate need for a Delphi Developer, who will be responsible for transforming business requirements into functional applications, ensuring software quality through rigorous testing, and providing technical support for ongoing application maintenance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is a plus
• 2-4 years of experience
• Experience with Delphi
• Application Design, Architecture – Knowledge of application design activities, tools, and techniques; ability to utilize these to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design
• Application Development Tools – Knowledge of and ability to utilize a variety of specific tools and toolkits for the development and support of applications
• Application Maintenance – Knowledge of and ability to define, implement changes to, and support a production application
• Application Testing – Knowledge of application testing and ability to design, plan and execute application testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality throughout all stages of application development
• System Development Life Cycle – Knowledge of project management techniques and the ability to plan, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain system development life cycle segments and phases
• Technical Writing/Documentation – Knowledge of the technical language and writing approach, and the ability to write paper-based and online technical reference documentation (guidelines, standards, procedures, processes, applications, etc.)
• Technical Troubleshooting – Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, software, application, or operational) problems
• Experience with C# is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop technical applications based on business requirements and logical models
• Apply knowledge of application design techniques and tools to ensure a scalable and maintainable solution
• Utilize a variety of specific development tools and toolkits to build and support applications
• Demonstrate expertise in Delphi and related technologies to meet project and business needs
• Define, implement, and support changes to production applications
• Provide ongoing maintenance and updates to ensure high performance and functionality of deployed software
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure software quality throughout all stages of the application lifecycle
• Plan, design, and implement application testing to identify and resolve issues early in the development process
• Manage the full SDLC, including planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the system development life cycle phases
• Apply project management techniques to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including guidelines, standards, procedures, and application manuals
• Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and accessible to relevant stakeholders
• Anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical problems related to hardware, software, applications, and operational issues
• Utilize troubleshooting approaches and tools to ensure the quick and effective resolution of any issues
