Description:
Our client has an immediate need for an Exadata Administrator, who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Exadata environments, addressing hardware failures, applying patches, and supporting Oracle Recovery Appliances
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in software engineering, computer science, and/or related field is a plus
- Oracle Certification is a plus
- 5 years of full-stack Exadata support
- Experience with full-stack patching of the Exadata appliance
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Extensive experience troubleshooting performance issues
- Understanding of the process for replacing failed components of the appliance
- 5 years of Oracle DBA experience
- Experience supporting Oracle Recovery Appliances
- Knowledge of GoldenGate and ServiceNow is a plus
- Previous financial institution experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Address and resolve Exadata hardware failures
- Apply patches to Exadata appliances regularly to ensure up-to-date performance and security
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage for after-hours support
- Field customer requests related to Exadata and Oracle environments
- Investigate and resolve performance issues within the Exadata platform
