Information Security Engineer

Description:

Our client has an immediate need for an Information Security Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience using Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and reporting, familiarity with ITSM tools like Cherwell and ServiceNow, and a strong understanding of user provisioning/de-provisioning processes. You will work to ensure smooth access management processes, resolve issues, and maintain systems according to defined processes.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Office tools to create reports, perform data analysis, and support daily tasks.
• Manage tasks and workflows using ITSM tools such as Cherwell, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.
• Review and analyze reports to determine necessary actions, ensuring proper follow-up according to established procedures.
• Work independently, managing tasks with appropriate guidance and supervision as required.
• Provide excellent customer service by following up with users to resolve outstanding issues and escalating when necessary.
• Perform Active Directory user provisioning and de-provisioning, ensuring timely and accurate account management.
• Support access management processes, and monitor access controls and permissions across platforms.
• While not required, experience with Sailpoint, Varonis, and Delinea (formerly Thycotic) is a plus.
• Work with team members to support IT access auditing and certifications.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools for reporting and data analysis.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., Cherwell, ServiceNow) and SharePoint for work management and documentation.
• Experience with IAM
• Experience with Data Analysis
• Strong ability to review reports, take action as necessary, and follow up in a timely manner.
• Capable of working independently while adhering to established guidelines and processes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow up on customer issues and escalate when needed.
• Prior experience with Active Directory user provisioning and de-provisioning
• Experience with identity management tools such as Sailpoint, Varonis, and Delinea (FKA Thycotic) is a plus.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
• Experience with ITSM tools and access management processes.
• Prior experience in user account management and system administration, particularly with Active Directory.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with access management or IT auditing processes.
• Familiarity with additional tools in access control or identity management.
