Job Title: Respite Provider
Job Location: Altoona, Wi.
We are looking for an engaging Respite Provider to hang out with an awesome teenage client to give mom some time for self-care!
Flexible Scheduling, fun environment, get paid to have FUN.
Pay:
- $256.00/day rate for shifts over 8 hours and overnights.
- Additional mileage reimbursement (if client is in vehicle- $0.67cents/mi.)
Schedule:
- To be discussed and determined between provider and family.
- Looking for availability- 1 weekend per month (2 full days; including overnights)
Tasks:
- Respite care is to be conducted in the provider’s (your) home. Community outings are also authorized. Will be reimbursed for mileage.
- Ensure safety while under your supervision. Be able to redirect potential elopement attempts.
- Assist with toileting and bathing during overnight care. Assist with tube feedings.
- Engage with kiddo and encourage appropriate behaviors. May need verbal prompts to complete certain tasks.
- Willing to transport in personal vehicle, if needed.
- Hang out and have fun! This teen loves to stay active. Some of their favorite activities are going swimming, listening to music, being outdoors, taking short walks, and watching cartoons on their iPad.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License and/or reliable transportation.
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the start of employment.
- Must pass background check.
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- No prior G Tube training required! -Family is willing to train the right person.
*If hired, Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN) will not be your legal employer on record. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, your legal employer on record would be the Member. CDCN’s role is to assist the Member or Managing Party in recruiting a Direct Care Worker. The Member or Managing Party has the sole authority to hire or dismiss any potential Direct Care Worker.
