The Youth Respite Provider plays a crucial role in supporting children and young adults with diverse needs, particularly those on the Autism spectrum. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and energetic individual to provide care to an Autistic youth male in the comforts of their own home. In this role, you will provide temporary care and support to the youth, ensuring their safety, well-being, and engagement in activities. Schedule-

5 Hours/Week
Key Responsibilities/Skills-
- Provide direct 1:1 support and safety supervision to youth with Autism (Non-Verbal).
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities to promote social, emotional, and physical development.
- Supervise and engage with youth in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADL), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians, providing updates as necessary.
- Safely navigate elopement concerns by keeping the children within the boundaries of the home.
- Ability to maintain a calm, patient, and professional demeanor in various situations.
Qualifications-
- Previous experience working with children with Autism is preferred.
- Drivers license and reliable vehicle preferred.
- Must have the ability to pass a Caregiver/Criminal Background Check.

CDCN’s role is to assist the Member or Managing Party in recruiting a Direct Care Worker. The Member or Managing Party has the sole authority to hire or dismiss any potential Direct Care Worker. *
