Seeking individual for accounting position in our Fairfield, NJ facility. CPT provides testing and consultation services to the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, personal care, medical device and household product industries.
Job Type: Full Time. Base Hours: 8:30AM – 5:00PM Monday through Friday
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and meet the educational and experience requirements. Performs and provides support to all general ledger accounting functions for all facilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
On an average 8-hour day this position requires the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk, hear, and smell. Specific vision requirements including reading of written documents, visual inspection of materials and use of computer monitor screen frequently. This position entails repetitive motion with keyboard and mouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review pricing structure and terms for vendors, and research alternate approved vendors
- Update, maintain and purchase certain company items using Business Central
- Perform specific general ledger activities as directed
- Review all vendor invoices for accuracy against system, including monthly account statements
- Reconciliation of end of month statements, trial balances and bank accounts as directed
- Process other client and vendor information in Business Central for both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable modules
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma required
- Associates Degree in Accounting Preferred
- General Office Equipment Skills
- 1-2 years General Accounting Experience Preferred
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate multi-disciplinary teams.
- Must have experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central accounting software
- Other Computer skills: Word and Excel required
- Organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail; ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong customer service skills necessary
- Applicant should possess the ability to organize and maintain all data for assigned projects and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
