Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Day Habilitation Director to lead our team in providing exceptional care and support within our community. Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operations of the Day Habilitation facility and ensure the highest level of care for individuals
- Ensures consumer rights are observed by all program staff
- Reviews referrals to day habilitation program to ensure that eligibility requirements are met and placement is appropriate.
- Works in cooperation with individual's families, advocates, residential providers and other involved professionals to identify and explore both short term and long range personal goals for program participants
- Develops plans and oversees habilitation staff in the instruction for assigned adults in the areas of personal care, toileting, mobility, eating, social skills, cognitive skills, community awareness and access, communication skills and home living skills. - Schedules meetings to discuss and develop Individual Plans, conducts appropriate evaluations, writes/modifies Individual Plan, gathers information from appropriate support services, chairs all meetings.
- Provides program management for assigned clients; oversees implementation of Individual Plan by Habilitation Instructors; develops data books; assures completion of correct entries into data book. - Assures active treatment strategies are incorporated into each participant's daily schedule based on their individual needs.
- Oversees implementation of behavior Strategy/Intervention Plan in conjunction with Behavior Specialist. Provides ongoing staff instruction regarding plan implementation as necessary.
- Schedules staff to assigned groups based on the needs of the participants and adhering to budgetary restraints.
- Completes client schedules and daily lesson plans with input from Habilitation Instructors; ensures completion of Individual Plan objectives, reviews data on a weekly basis to assure accuracy and monitor participants progress. Assures timely completion of paperwork that is required to meet all local, state and federal guidelines.
- Completes various reports as requested; maintains participant's records and confidentiality.
- Orders supplies and equipment; keeps training area clean and clear of safety hazards.
- Assists in the hiring process as assigned.
- Assist in New Employee Training as assigned.
- Assist in conducting/documenting employee counseling sessions and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Assists in performance evaluations of day habilitation staff.
- Adhere to safety standards set forth per regulatory agencies and CSS.
- Report all MUI's to appropriate CSS personnel and county officials and assist in the investigation process.
- Assure distribution of medications in absence of nursing.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by CSS.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Qualifications:
-College degree in related field, one year supervisory experience preferred and 3 years experience with IIDD individuals. Experience with severe behavioral issues preferred. Valid Ohio Driver's License required.
